Code of conduct

ClamUI follows the Contributor Covenant 2.1. We commit to a harassment-free, welcoming, inclusive community and expect empathy, respectful disagreement, constructive feedback, accountability, and attention to the community’s good.

Unacceptable conduct includes sexualized language or attention, trolling or derogatory attacks, public or private harassment, publishing private information without permission, and other behavior that is unreasonable in a professional setting.

The code applies in project community spaces and when representing the project publicly. Community leaders may clarify standards and remove, edit, or reject contributions inconsistent with them, with fair and appropriate corrective action.

Report abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior to security@clamui.com. Reports are reviewed promptly and fairly; leaders must respect reporter privacy and security.

Leaders assess both impact and pattern:

  1. Correction: a private written warning that explains the violation; a public apology may be requested.
  2. Warning: a warning with consequences for continued behavior and a defined period without contact with the people involved or enforcing the policy.
  3. Temporary ban: a serious or sustained violation results in a time-limited ban from public and private community interaction, including unsolicited contact with enforcement participants.
  4. Permanent ban: a pattern of serious violations, harassment, or aggression/disparagement toward protected classes results in permanent exclusion from public interaction.

This policy is adapted from the Contributor Covenant. Its Community Impact Guidelines are inspired by Mozilla’s enforcement ladder; see the Covenant’s FAQ and translations.
